Roydon is to have an airport! What do you think?

Lord Sugar announced on Tuesday morning that he has planned to build an airport next to the school grounds.

The announcement has caused a lot of excitement and anger. The Eco Warriors (5/4 Deers) have been busy debating reasons for, and against, an airport.

Lord Sugar wanted us to report our decision back to him, so we have been busy looking at persuasive words and sentence starters. Here are some of our letters back (click on each letter for a larger image)

Eco Warriors employ 5/4 Deers!

The 5/4's have been set an important message from Lord Alan Sugar!

Lord Sugar informed the class that he wanted them to join his new company - called 'Eco Warriors'.

He said that he would be contacting the class through video, email and fax messages asking them to do important eco-related tasks and to attend to some important matters. He has given the whole class a membership badge and has warned that employees that do not work hard may be FIRED!

This week he has asked us to find out about the noise pollution that goes on around the school, during the day.

Using the iPads we have been recording clips of noise from various locations, photography the location and writing about the noise there.

We hope to send our presentations to Lord Sugar next week, and get his feedback.

More Easter 100 word challenges by Reece and Eren.

There once lived a greedy boy called Bert. His parents bought him a majestic chocolate bunny for Easter he put it on his oak desk. In a flash he rushed outside and played with his friend Rob in the park. Rob chose to play “it” Bert was the catcher he tried and tried but it was impossible to catch Rob. Eventually he prodded home. When he got there he was astonished to see that his chocolate bunny had melted in the sun he wailed to his Mum for a new one but she insisted. So his Mum suggested to put it in the fridge so it gets to shape.

“Allan, lets go shopping!”His mum shouted loudly. ”I DON’T WANT TO GO SHOPPING!” Said Allan, who was screaming in protest. “If your good enough I will give you a chocolate Easter rabbit.” Within 10 seconds Allan was already sitting in the car waiting for the car to start. “That was quick” Replied Allan’s mum, smiling as the car started to drive to the shop. In the Easter chocolate isle Allan started to look at the chocolate rabbit section of the isle. In a while Allan told his mum that he wanted the big one. When they got to the car Allan put the rabbit in the boot. When he opened the car boot he saw that the chocolate rabbit melted in the sun.

On Easter Sunday my mum and dad arranged an Easter egg hunt.  My mum surprised me and my brother by saying “there maybe some chocolate rabbits hiding too”.  When it was time me and my brother started to search the garden.  First we looked in the shed, we found two chocolate eggs then we looked in the flowerbed and hidden in the bush was one chocolate rabbit.  While we looking the chocolate rabbit melted in the sun that was hidden in the tree, it oozed down the branches like hot boiling lava.   I asked my dad to get a ladder so we could get it down.

Just then, Poppy trips on a chocolate bunny! The clouds disappear, and the sun arrives once again. Must be a magic bunny! Zia thinks. The sun was peeking up over the fence.  The little girl said to her brother “Look at those paw prints and all those chocolate eggs and rabbits”, her brother led her downstairs and followed the paw prints. “Shhh” he said, as they crept around the house. They found the Easter Bunny.  He said “you can have a ride around the street on my Easter carriage”.  He dropped the little girl and her brother home.  He gave them two fluffy white rabbits.  They called them “Easter” and “Chocolate”.  He also gave them a big chocolate rabbit.  The chocolate rabbit melted in the sun, it was all sticky and gooey.
