Trial animations

We are been looking at animations in class and have used the iPads to create some short clips. We have used the app, iMotion to take photographs (frames) and then stitch them together, increasing the speed to 12 frames per second (as used in cartoons).

This is Benjamin's, Eren's and Harry's football clip:

Our goldfish

Proudly presenting Bubble and Squeak. Bubble and Squeak have been with us since the beginning of the spring term. We all take turns feeding them. There is also a snail called Garry! Isn't that just the best name for a snail? We love our gold fish.

Art week in the 5/4 Deers

The children at Roydon Primary School have been involved in art week this week. To begin with we looked at Henri Matisse and tried to recreate some Matisse style paintings, mixing colours and using the correct brush strokes.

Within our maths lessons we learnt about tessellating shapes. We also experimented with tangrams.

Here are some of our repeating patterns and some of our tangram designs.

In class this week we have also designed clay medals. We have been learning about Ancient Greece and that the Olympics started in 776BC.

We have also learnt about the Greek gods and goddesses and when they have appeared in various Greek myths. Below are some of our paintings.
